Memorial
(1965-2006)
Master Ginger Perry (Right) To be
remembered and not forgotten.
Passed 04-17-07

Grandmaster Phil Little and Master Ginger Perry At the
Circle of Masters Championships October 2006
Master Ginger
Perry was a wonderful person who
kept such a positive outlook
and attitude, even in the face of adversity.
The passing of Master Ginger Perry
is a great loss to the martial arts community. It has
been my honor to serve as
Ginger’s Sensei and to train with her for over twenty two years. She
operated a
wonderful Dojo in a church in east Knoxville and she
had several people this
year come to know Christ through her stewardship. She
was a knowledgeable
instructor and an amazing competitor. But Ginger’s legacy is her heart
– she
loved the Lord, she loved the children who came to her for instruction, and
she
displayed loyalty, honor, and passion in all she did.
Again, it was my honor to
teach her, to learn from her, and to see her earn
the Masters Level of
Roku-Dan, 6th
degree black belt, in Isshinryu Karate-Do.
Survived
by parents, Wesley and Betty Perry; brother and sister-in-law, Allen
and
Kim Perry; brother and sister-in-law, Shane and Kelley Perry; niece and
nephew,
Brandy and Joshua Perry; loving cousins, Aaron Perry, Sali Perry and Lee Roach.
Pallbearers: Phil Little, Andy Cates, Brian Cole, Stacy Kerr,
Ronnie Barnes, David Tudor, Tracy Word, Darren French, Pat Mebust, and Dale
Brooks
In
lieu of flowers, Ginger would appreciate any
contributions being made to Hillcrest
Baptist Youth Karate Ministry, 6715 Sunnyview Road, Knoxville, TN
37914.
